Katherine and Jeff - Engagement - May 6, 2012

Katherine asked if we could meet downtown for her and Jeff's engagement session. Katherine sings opera and the east side entrance to the Civic Opera House was a great place to start. Jeff told me music is one of the ties that binds the two together. Whatever it is, they just seem to fit together so naturally. We walked to Millennium Park just ahead of some nasty looking weather, but managed to avoid the rain (mostly!). Their session was a blast - it had a real fashion shoot feel to it - very cool. Their wedding in August promises to be great. I can't wait.

Tori and Robert - Engagement - May 2, 2012

I met Tori and Robert at the Geneva Wedding Walk last March and learned shortly afterward that they had won the Geneva Bride grand prize from the event - a honeymoon in Aruba - how awesome is that! We met last week at Cantigny Gardens in Winfield for a few engagement pictures. It was a beautiful day and the park and gardens were gorgeous. If you haven't been there, go. It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Tori and Robert are great - we had a lot of fun. Truthfully, I kind of hated for the session to end. Their wedding is coming up in August...can't wait to see them again.

Natalie and Chris - Engagement - April 21, 2012

When we first met in March, Natalie and Chris never mentioned being big Bears fans, but it was pretty obvious when we got together for their engagement session that they were, big time.  They both really like Fabyan Park in Geneva so that was the natural place to meet. I really love it there and the weather was perfect - Ok, maybe a little chilly, but great for April. I learned Chris is a little crazy for motorcycles too. Of all my favorite things, that's near the top of the list. No wonder we get along so well! Their wedding in November is gonna be awesome - I can't wait.

Katy and Kohl - March 31, 2012

I doubt Katy and Kohl imagined they'd have such a beautiful spring day for their March wedding when they were making plans a year ago, but it turned out to be perfect. We tried all winter to schedule engagement pictures in the snow, but that didn't happen, at least not this year. So I was thankful they had a day like this. The flowers and trees were blooming, the sun was shining, it couldn't have been better. As you can see, the girls were gorgeous, the guys looked great, an awesome day. I felt lucky to be a part of it.
